Week 35: Thank God for Hoover Carpet Vacs

June 30, 2008

This little man is on the move and I love how he "stomps" around with purpose. I just love hearing him go from room to room down stairs. Slap-Slap-Slap as his hands hit the wood floor. He is a very independent little boy. He prefers moving around at his own will to being held down. There are lots of things to do and explore. After a while though he does remember that he wants to be cuddled and will crawl back to me saying "ABABA" or "AYAYA" which means he wants some cuddle time.

When he wants his binky he keeps opening and closing his mouth wordlessly. I think pretty soon this binky is going to become an issue. Chris and I are already plotting how we are going to rid ourselves of it before Chloe comes.

This boy is also VERY Chatty. He is just talking all the time it seems. What is really funny is he likes to talk and pat my belly. He only does this to me, so I can't decide if he knows Chloe is in there or if he just thinks Mommy has a big Santa Belly that needs to be talked to.

Well funny story. Mommy was in the dining room doing a "craft" project for Chloe's room (see Chloe's Blog for more details) and Marshall decided that he would help. Remembering her paint can from a few weeks ago, he made a bee-line for the can that I had tucked away in the FARTHEST MOST DESOLATE corner of the room (tucked away UNDER A CHAIR because I couldn't get the lid to close and was afraid someone would tip it over). He tipped the can over and started pounding GLEEFULLY on the side (luckily the can was nearly empty). I should have been freaking out about paint on the carpet, but he was just so adorable. I plucked him from the floor before he got paint anywhere else other than his hands and gave him to Chris to wash up. As Chris walked with him to the bathroom, an arms length out, to wash up - Marshall was making the funniest giggling I have ever heard from him. Despite the mess (Which the Hoover Vac got completely out) - he was so adorable and funny.

My house is definitely doomed - the little man is into everything (and I thought it was cute)!!!

Sounds like next time we go out to lunch, he won't sit so sweetly! I can't wait to see him - his little teeth are so cute!
